Dreamscaper is a super cool rogue-lite ARPG about lucid dreaming and overcoming the negative things holding you back by making connections and building bridges with new faces. The game is split between two halves, the waking world where you get to know the people around you, craft gifts for them, and further your relationships. Then there’s the dream world, where you take what you’ve learned, various video game, pop culture, and comic book weapons and powers and fight your way through your nightmares. The dialogue in the game is genuinely charming and natural, the character interactions are endearing and make you want to see what’s next, and the combat is satisfying, with interesting weapons and powers. A great start to a hopefully fruitful Early Access campaign.
